SATOP Evaluation: OMU
Certified by the Missouri Department of Mental Health, Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse, completion of SATOP is one requirement for reinstatement of a Missouri Operator’s License after an alcohol related traffic offense such as DWI and subsequent suspension/revocation. Prices are set by by the State of Missouri. Duration: Varies Cost: $375 |
If you are on probation with the Missouri Department of Probation & Parole, and need a REACT Screening, please alert EMASS staff of this when making an appointment. A referral is needed from your Probation & Parole Officer at the time the appointment is scheduled.
Alcohol or Drug Education Classes
SATOP Classes
SATOP is a multi-level process designed to screen an offender and refer the offender to the appropriate level of education, intervention or treatment. EMASS is currently certified to do all levels of SATOP. Upon completion of the screening process of SATOP (the Offender Management Unit), the offender is referred to one of four levels of SATOP - The Offender Education Program (OEP), Level I; The Weekend Intervention Program (WIP) Level II; Clinical Intervention Program (CIP), Level III; or the Serious and Repeat Offenders Program (SROP), Level IV. Prices are established and controlled by the State of Missouri. You may be eligible for financial assistance after taking the Standard Means Test (SMT). OEP- $206.10, 10 hour course over 1 weekend (Book Included in Listed Price) WIP- $256.7-481.16, 20 hour course over 1 weekend ($6.70 Book Included in Listed Price) CIP- $250-1083.44, 50 hour course over 6 weeks SROP- $250-1522.50, At least 75 hour course in no less than 90 days |
ADEP
(Alcohol Drug Education Program/ Adolescent Diversion Education Program) ADEP is a 10 hour educational program which provides the requirement of law for those who plead guilty or who are found guilty of the offense of minor in possession of alcohol and other offenses. ADEP completion may also be required for reinstatement of an operator’s license. The ADEP is specifically designed for minors. It provides information on a wide range of substances such as the physiological and psychological effects of alcohol and other drugs including marijuana, narcotics, tranquilizers, and hallucinogens. REACT
(Required Educational Assessment and Community Treatment) The Required Educational Assessment Community Treatment Program (REACT) is a statewide network of comprehensive, accessible education and treatment options which provide an appropriate community response to felony drug related offenses. The network includes an initial screening and referral by a REACT Screening Unit (RSU) to a REACT Educational Program (REP) or related treatment services. Domestic Violence Programs
EMASS Domestic Violence Education Seminar
The EMASS Domestic Violence Educational Seminar (EDVES) is an educational program for individuals who have been physically, emotionally or sexually abusive in domestic relationships. At least 12 weekly group sessions must be attended to complete EDVES. Our goal is to begin the process to produce behavioral, attitudinal and emotional changes in individuals who have been charged with domestic abuse. Duration: 12 weeks Cost: $30 per session |
EMASS Batterers Intervention Program
The EMASS Batterer’s Intervention Program (EBIP) is a 6-month educational program. Its goals are to confront individual’s behaviors, beliefs and attitudes that underline domestic violence, and help individuals become accountable for their behaviors and accept responsibility for changing them. EBIP teaches skills for alternative, non-coercive behaviors to prevent future violence. This program is part of a coordinated community response to domestic violence which involves the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Law Enforcement Officers, Probation and Parole, the defense community and the general public. Duration: 6 month period consisting of weekly visits- course can be lengthened based on lack of compliance Cost: $30 per session |
ANGER MANAGEMENT CLASSES
EMASS Behavioral Anger Management Program
The objective of the EMASS Behavior Anger Management Program (EBAM) is to provide an educational experience for those struggling with anger control. The group will provide appropriate alternatives for dealing with anger, as well as stress management techniques and coping skills. The primary focus will be to assist each individual on learning how to change their center of control from an external power-centered focus to an internal self-control focus. The group will meet for ten weeks for a period of 75 minutes per session.
Duration: 12 week course

Probation Supervision & Referral Services
Probation
Probation supervision designed with referrals made to appropriate agencies for employment, vocational, educational, and psychological needs. The client will be monitored in compliance with the Conditions of Probation with due dates established by the Court. Reports will be submitted to the Court on a timely basis. |
Community Service Referral
Referrals of clients to Not For Profit agencies to volunteer for uncompensated hours of service as per Court Order. The service includes monitoring of hours completed at the Not For Profit agencies. Notice of Community Service submitted to the Court. |
EMASS staff oversee a wide variety of supervision cases. These types of supervision include, but not limited to: Supervised Probation, Limited Probation, Not To Report Probation, and Bond Supervision. An additional condition for these may include random onsite drug testing.
EMASS offers onsite drug and/or alcohol (EtG) testing. Lab testing for drug or alcohol screens is also available upon request.

Pre-Sentence Investigation
Report will include client’s social history such as family background, educational/vocational training, employment history and special issues data. The client’s current life situation will be evaluated and treatment plans suggested for self-improvement. An Alternative Sentencing Proposal is submitted based upon realistic assessment of client’s life situation. Pre-sentence Investigations conducted upon Court Order or referral from Defense Attorney. Mental Health Evaluation
